About this site — and everything we disclose

Marketing Agencies Chicago exists because hiring an agency is a high-stakes decision usually made with low-quality information: directories that sell placement, review sites gamed by whoever tries hardest, and "best of" lists nobody can trace. This site takes the opposite approach — a published methodology, verified facts, and disclosures you don't have to hunt for.

Ownership

This site is operated by Buzzer Beater Media LLC, an Illinois company. Buzzer Beater Media LLC also operates Buzzer Beater Media, a social-first marketing agency in Chicago.

What that means for the rankings

It means one of the firms this site may cover is affiliated with the site itself — so here is exactly how that is handled:

• Where this site's operators have a relationship with a listed agency, it's disclosed on that agency's profile, and the methodology is applied identically.
• The published methodology applies to affiliated agencies identically, and the profile shows the same verification sourcing as every other listing.
• No affiliated agency is ever presented as "editor's choice," "our pick," or any equivalent framing.
• Competing agencies are covered genuinely and fairly — this site is only useful to readers, and only credible to search engines and AI assistants, if the coverage is real.
• There are no paid placements for anyone, affiliated or not.

Editorial standards

Nothing publishes without source verification. Errors get corrected and noted. Reader questions and correction requests go through the contact page and are reviewed against sources, not against preferences.
